Ryan has always wanted to take the fam on an RV trip and we finally did it!
We rented this RV,
packed it up and headed north.
The girls slept up on the bunk above the driver,
the table to the left turned into Jonah’s bed
and the couch on the right turned into Caleb’s bed.
We played LOTS of games–
our favorites were Sleeping Queens, Sequence, Pit and Pictionary.
We ended up at the KOA at Mt. Rushmore and it was BEAUTIFUL…
there is so much to do there you could spend a few days just hanging out at the KOA!
Every morning we went to the pancake tent for all you can eat pancakes and coffee…
The cook would flip your pancakes to you over the wall on the left, so fun!
We kayaked and swam and played horseshoes and sand volleyball and basketball and giant checkers and giant chess and rock climbed and mined for crystals and drove go carts and more–
there was so much fun to be had!
And just about every night we built a fire and made s’mores…
We visited Mt. Rushmore, the first time for all of us…
and our very last morning we went horseback riding
(again, at the KOA)–
everyone (even Eden) got to ride their own horse
and the girls say it’s their very favorite part of the trip!
Taking an RV was a bit exhausting but fun and a totally different type of vacation for us–
I hear the boys are already planning us a longer RV trip for next summer…
