beach getaway.

After all of the hustle and bustle the Christmas season brings to tvp, Ryan and I were able to sneak away for a few days, minus the kids. We are just laying on the beach, catching a movie or two, chatting over coffee and having each other’s undivided attention with no one to interrupt! With a family of 6, our house is usually loud and busy, we are enjoying some quiet and the slow pace.
We haven’t done this in years, it’s long overdue!
(although we really miss the kids!)

Ryan and I love the beach, what’s your favorite getaway spot?

a blessings jar.

For Christmas our team gave each me, Jill and JuneAnne a blessings jar,
filled with sweet little notes to us from every team member
and a few encouraging scriptures.

I loved it, read through them with Ryan,
and again with my kids, and the bottom was filled with chocolates!

Thank you team, it was the perfect gift,
one that we will all keep and treasure!

so very merry.

(I didn’t manage to get Christmas cards out this year,
but if I did they would have looked something like this).

Our day was warm and full of family, friends, relaxing, games, yummy food and laughter.

Hope your day was very merry
as we celebrated the birth of Jesus!

lots of winners!

Thank you so much for all of the entries,
this was our biggest contest ever!
I love reading through all of the comments about your favorite pieces.
In the spirit of Christmas we decided to pick 10 winners
(instead of 5)
to each receive a $100 gift certificate!

The 10 randomly picked winners are:

1. Sandie, who said: I have to say I love all your pieces. I love the simplicity, yet heartfelt pieces that you offer. I really like the Christmas ornaments.

2. Shannon, who said: I love the “Come Fly With Me” necklace. Perfect for the couple without children. You all just keep creating the most beautiful pieces!!

3. Brooke, who said: I have already “liked” you on FB. Where do I start, I LOVE all it! I have my first Vintage Pearl Neckless “Hope” this fall.
The next one on my list is the “I love you” my momma has always signed that to me when we depart. Merry Christmas!

4. Ebpitcher, who said: I really like the Chunky Love (heart) necklace!.

5. Jill Patterson, who said: While I currently love, love, LOVE my rectangular names on a chain necklace that my dear sweet hub got me for Mother’s Day….I would LOVE to win this contest so that I could use it to purchase the Faith and Fortune necklace (absolutely adorable) because my husband and I have this thing with chinese fortune cookies (he loves the cookies and I love the fortunes). May you have a blessed holiday season and a happy, healthy 2012. “The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” -Audrey Hepburn

6. Troy Liput, who said: I absolutely adore the Autism love necklace – would be proud to give that to my wife, with my daughter’s name on it – I suspect it would get worn every day. Gorgeous stuff!
Liked on Facebook – glad I found you folks!

7. Amber Mayfield, who said: I would love to have Birdie on a ring! My kids names are Phoenix & Wren so I’m loving that ring!!

8. Anna Barler, who said: I tweeted it…

9. Kristine Gentry, who said: Does “pinning” on Pinterest count too? I have my favorite items pinned. I also pinned the Christmas ornament.

10. Christy, who said: I LOVE my square names with hearts, but it took me over an hour to pick it out because I love it ALL!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

with a feather on top.

Yesterday I took Eden to get her first haircut…

I took her to “my” hair girl Trisha…

It was more drastic than I had planned,
when I saw her cut off so much it took my breath away!

But she is very tender headed,
and hair brushing is always a tearful chore,
so the shorter length will be helpful.

She asked for a pink feather…
I’m not sure I “get” the feathers in your hair fad,
but she loves it…

What do you think?

p.s. Trisha cuts my hair and she’s amazing (and affordable, Eden’s cut was just $15!),
if you’re looking for a hair dresser you can contact her at (918)-492-1202.

tvp Christmas party 2011

Last night we had the TVP Christmas dinner party at The Hilton,
and our favorite comedian Tony Brent was kind enough to come perform a show for us
(thanks Tony!)

Lots of laughs,
loved seeing our team and their husbands/boyfriends be so silly,
it was so much fun!

After the show we played dirty santa
(where you get to steal gifts)
and I won this…

Rose (from customer service) made this chocolate house
and did you notice the little “tvp” star ornament?
SO CUTE!
It may be too pretty to eat…
but probably not!

A few of us girls at the end of the night-
from left-
JuneAnne (production manager), Anna (rts manager), me in back, Heather (retail), Niesha (assembly manager), Shurayah (assembler), Jill in back (business manager) and Angela (assembly manager).

We are so blessed to have such a talented, hard working but FUN team,
thanks for all of the laughs everyone!!!

Praise God, we made it!

a sweet stocking.

Each department has stockings hung in their work room
(stampers, assemblers, retail, etc)
and everyone has been taking turns filling them up with little treats and goodies.

I didn’t have a stocking,
so Adri made me one out of one of our sweatshirts
and hung it outside of my office–
isn’t it so fun? I love it! Thank you Adri!

the crane game.

I think Ryan may have a slight addiction to playing the crane games,
it’s super hard for him to walk by one and not play!

Most of the time he walks away without a prize,
but last night he and Caleb hit the jackpot-

-they took turns playing and they just couldn’t lose,
and now Eden has lots of new “friends”!

Anyone else have this (or a similar) addition?

feelin’ like Christmas.

The kids have had their chat with Santa…

our Christmas tree is decorated
and shining bright…

the stockings are hung,
we’ve been shopping for gifts,
(finally got started last night)
wrapping presents with Eden
(my BIG helper who loves “sticky tape”),
having candy canes & hot chocolate
(together, yum),
singing Christmas songs
(and trying to get the words right),
baking sugar cookies
(makes the house smell SO good)…

it’s definitely feelin’ like Christmas around here!

catch a basketball (and win!)

We teamed up with ORU athletics
and if you catch one of our white basketballs at the men’s home games
and bring it to the store you will save 10% off your order!
Catch the gold one and get a FREE necklace!
(so fun!)

napping santa.

I found Santa Clause all tucked in and taking a nap in my bed (thanks to Eden).
Photobucket
…at least he will be well rested for Christmas Eve!

workin’ hard and THANK YOU!

Lots of long days in the studio…

…we’re workin’ hard to get your Christmas orders out,
just 16 more days til Christmas,
can you believe it???

We still make every piece individually from raw materials,
we mold, cut, file, stamp, antique, polish, wrap, fuse,
every piece from start to finish,
right here in our studio with our hands-
I’m pretty proud of that!

It’s so fun to be making a piece
knowing that someone might be opening it up as a gift soon!

A big THANK YOU to everyone that shops with us
and has kept us so busy this season–
we are so blessed to have such wonderful customers,
we appreciate each one of you.
We hope our jewelry makes special gifts for you
and your loved ones this Christmas!

silly fun.

Eden and I had fun taking our pictures in a mirror,
and even more fun laughing at our silly pictures on the computer!
