It’s been a little extra busy here
(hence, my lack of posting)
while trying to balance a few new transitions with normal life-
it’s a good busy, but it can get exhausting.
My days are full of extra projects and meetings,
followed by the typical busyness of a family of 6
(homework, practices, dinner, family time, bedtime).
It’s only for a season, life will slow back down for all of us tvp girls once it’s over,
but better to be busy than not, right?
So the other night, I took a break from the stuff I HAD to get done,
and I just created for me–
it was creative time I needed and it felt so good!
I have my own little workshop in our house,
which helps me create on a whim when an idea hits.
I asked for names from facebook friends
so I felt like I was designing and creating with a purpose,
and then I made random pieces using their names-
some pieces were from our website
while others were totally new, or maybe slightly different than a favorite piece,
just to see how it looks…
I simply made whatever I felt like making-
it was divine!
This piece, this piece, this piece, this piece and this piece
are a few of my favorites to make and tweak.
Sometimes a new piece is born into our collection that way,
(this necklace was created that way)
but it also gets my creative juices going and it’s relaxing.
Plus, I love surprising others–
it’s so fun to email someone to let them know you used their names
and you’re mailing them their new piece!
